My First Wish
Special Delivery
เป็ดน้อยส่งคำอวยพร
A flock of ducks hurrying to deliver a wish on time.
Our story · Behind My First Wish
Follow the ducks, the dogs, the wisteria and the Christmas parade from a pen on an iPad to the gift wrap in your hands.

01
Before the first line, we ask who the wrap is for. Ducks for a little one’s birthday, dogs for a best friend, wisteria for someone we look up to, and a Christmas parade for the night everyone comes home.

02
Every duck has its own pose: one carries a letter, one wears a straw hat. Each starts as a hand-drawn line, then gets its colour layer by layer.

03
Soft blue, cream, warm white and pine green. Warm, gentle colours that look lovely without upstaging the gift.
04
Once every character is drawn, digital tools help us arrange them so the pattern meets itself on every side. Then we fix it spot by spot until it wraps a box without a visible seam.

05
Before printing 1,000 sheets of each pattern, we check colour proofs on 128 gsm matte art paper until the ground and the characters match the drawing.

06
Every sheet is rolled and bagged without a crease, ready for you to wrap and write your own wish.

The makers
I Wish is the two of us, husband and wife. Every pattern starts with Jaja’s eye: which gift deserves which wrap, which characters, which colours, and how it should feel to open. Patr takes the picture in her head and draws it by hand, one character at a time, until it becomes the paper in your hands.
