Questions
How big a box does one sheet wrap?
A 50 × 70 cm sheet covers any box that needs up to 50 × 70 cm of paper, such as a 20 × 20 × 10 cm box or a 33 × 20 × 12 cm shoe box.
How do you work out how much paper a box needs?
Around the box you need 2 × (width + height) + 3 cm for the overlap. Along it you need length + height + 2 cm to fold the ends. Try the box on every side and use the layout that needs the least paper.
How do I join two sheets so the seam doesn’t show?
Overlap the edges by 2 cm so the pattern lines up, tape from behind, and keep the seam on the underside of the box.
